• Sia Sharif

  Managing Director

  Sia has started his career in bridge engineering followed by a stint in a civil/water design practice before dedicating his time fully to STS Structural Engineering ltd. STS was initially set up as a Design and Build Company in 1991. Since then the company has evolved into a specialist structural engineering and architectural consultancy. Has many years’ experience in designing and detailing steel, concrete, timber and masonry structures and seeing them through from initial design stages through to completion.

  Runs a team of competent engineers and architectural designers delivering a fully integrated service to our clients to include architectural design, planning, structural design and project management and construction oversight.

• Marko Nesovic

  Chartered Structural Engineer and Technical Director

  Graduated Civil Engineering in 2003 at Kingston University followed by an MSc in Structural Engineering at the University of Surrey. Chartered Engineer with the Institution of Structural Engineers (CEng MIStructE)

  Joined STS Structural Engineering part-time in 2002 and full-time since 2007 as a Technical Director. Running a team of architectural designers and engineers specialising new-build and refurbishment projects in and around London. Thrives on designing and detailing complex structures in masonry, timber, steel and concrete. Has a keen interest in preserving and enhancing historic buildings and expanding his knowledge in building techniques including structural repairs, basements (incl piles, underpinning, retaining walls, rafts), glass facades, sustainability as well as project management, contracts and CDM.

  In his spare time, he enjoys travelling, sailing and watching Peppa Pig with his daughter!

• Aleksandar S. Slijepčević

  Associate

  Graduated Civil Engineering in 1964 at Civil and Structural Engineering Faculty, University of Belgrade, Yugoslavia.

  Professional Qualifications:

  • Fellow of Institute of Structural Engineers England (F.I.Struct.E.)
  • Chartered Engineer – The Engineering Council of England (C. Eng.)
  • Licensed Structural Designer – The Engineering Council of Serbia
  • Licensed Construction Engineer – The Engineering Council of Serbia

  His major skills are: Negotiating New Contracts, Project and Construction Management, Implementation of Energy Efficiency for Buildings, Design and Supervision, Reconstruction of Buildings etc.

  Aleksandar has worldwide professional experience in former Yugoslavia, Zambia, UK, U.A.E, China, Hungary, Iraq, Uganda, Nigeria etc.

• Dusica Stosic

  Senior Architectectural Designer

  Graduated with master degree from University of Belgrade, Faculty of Architecture, she gained work experience in various design companies. She has been working in the field of architectural design for more than 10 years on conceptual and major projects of different types of facilities (residential, office buildings, hotels, distribution and industrial facilities).

  She has been working in STS Structural Engineering Ltd since November 2007 as a senior architectural designers. Her work has been focused on a variety of mainly residential developments, including historic listed buildings. She also had been involved in challenging projects of religious objects and hotels.

  During her career, she participated in a series of competition entries.

  In her free time, she enjoys in natural surroundings, cycling, hiking, rowing… Travelling, meeting people and different cultures are also her passion.

• Jugoslava Protic

  Architectural Designer

  Jugoslava gained a master degree in Faculty of Architecture, University of Belgrade and since has built up a comprehensive portfolio of projects . She had a chance to work on various international projects during several professional workshops and design studios in Italy, Serbia and Tunisia.

  In 2008 Jugoslava joined STS Structural Engineering Ltd. Here experience includes number of high and residential refurbishments and new builds, both in central London and rural areas. The successful completion of these projects and good relationships formed with clients has resulted in repeat work time and time again.

  Jugoslava’s passion for Architecture, eye for detail, extensive technical knowledge and a great understanding of material use has enabled a number of projects to be completed to an exceptional standard, on time and on budget.

• Natasa Mihajlovic

  Architectural Designer / Project Manager

  Natasa joined STS Structural Engineering Ltd in 2010, to help grow the team and expand our residential and commercial design services further.
  She graduated with master degree in architecture at Faculty of Architecture, University of Belgrade in 2008.
  After graduation she worked at INGOT Studio on residential and commercial projects, as well as Urban planning projects.
  Committed to client and user focused solutions, she was the right person to became part of the STS Structural Engineering team.

  Her attention to detail and adept understanding of clients planning requirements held her create cohesive and engaging design.

  Loves travel, adventures, photography, modern art, meeting new people but most of all loves to play hide and seek with her son and niece.

• Nevena Krstic

  Architectural Designer

  In 2009, Nevena obtained Master degree from Faculty of Architecture, University of Belgrade. She was awarded by the Regional Chamber of Commerce South-Western Serbia for achieving extraordinary results during studies.

  As her great passion is bioclimatic and sustainable architecture, she was enrolled in several academic courses at Faculty of Science and Technology, New University of Lisbon, Portugal and at Aristotle University, Thessaloniki, Greece.

  Nevena joined STS Structural Engineering in August 2013. Through her employment she has worked on a various projects ranging from a small private commissions to large-scale residential, commercial to public buildings, as well as the preservation and conservation of listed buildings.

  She is deeply interested in research of innovation in architecture, creating symbiotic design compounding art and architecture and also intelligent and driven architecture.
