The project involves the redevelopment of a derelict site in central Brighton. The existing property is a Victorian Public House building and associated adjoining vacant office buildings and garages to the rear of 79-81 West Street. It is a part 5, part 3 storey building typical of the period constructed in grey stucco and brickwork painted yellow situated on the corner of the West and South Street Brighton. The offices at the rear of the property are two two-storey buildings and are currently vacant and somewhat dilapidated.
The proposal is to refurbish and extend the existing buildings at the 79-81 West Street and to demolish the dilapidated buildings and the garages to the rear to create new residential accommodation as a long lease HMO whilst retaining the existing pub.
